Job Location : Reading,PA, USA
The Shipping Coordinator is responsible to assure that shipping processes, including compliance to export requirements are met. This position also assures proper receipt of received goods.
Key Accountabilities:
* Verify work orders to prepare for shipments, prepare packing lists, grade orders, review any last minute internal changes, update finished part weights are required
* Enter and retried data in SAP
* Obtain shipping log information electronically, pull inventory into electronic warehouse, create weights, update notes and any special instructions
* Retrieve incoming orders to anticipate shipments needed
* Work with other SGL sites to obtain necessary information to ship
* Print labels using correct PO #, description of products
* Receive shipments via carriers, ensure the accuracy of contents shipped and notify the appropriate departments of the arrivals
* Ensure that country shipping requirements are met for all exports
* Prepare and send to the appropriate party invoicing, customs requirements, etc.
* Investigate and resolve customer credit holds and shipping discrepancies when parts are missing from daily shipping list
* Submit all export documents. Complete and assure proper filing of Shipper's Export Declaration when required
* Arrange shipment of exports and inland shipping
* Arrange transportation for freight by contacting third party logistic companies for routing and scheduling pickups with carriers. Create delivery notes. Produce bills of lading. Upon shipment, tracking must be entered and goods posted on SAP.
* Ensure with Accounting all shipped material has been posted for billing and collaborate to resolve any discrepancies
* Request Certificates of Compliance for all required orders.
* Enter UPS shipments via UPS World Ship site. Ensure all UPS and Federal Express packages are ready for nightly pickup.
Your Profile:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience working as a Shipping Coordinator with export experience, preferred
* Proficient computer skills with experience working with SAP, preferred
* Knowledge of export regulations, preferred
* Ability to multitask
* Proficient communication skills
