What you will do:

Ferroglobe has an immediate opening for an experienced Shipping Coordinator at our site in Bridgeport, AL. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of product delivery to customers, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of orders while maintaining effective communication between the warehouse, sales, and shipping departments.

* Communicate with customers, warehouse personnel, and sales teams to coordinate order placements and delivery schedules.

* Perform order entry and manage inventory to support order fulfillment.

* Prioritize orders in coordination with the Commercial team.

* Execute administrative tasks related to order fulfillment, such as creating contracts, sales orders, deliveries, pick/pack assignments, and documentation output.

* Maintain and distribute updated shipment logs in a timely manner.

* Convey customer requirements to plant/shipping departments in an efficient and concise manner.

* Perform inventory-to-sales mass balance to ensure product availability.

* Maintain customer account profiles, including general account information, documentation, packaging, and carrier specifications.

* Update pricing information as provided by Sales Management.

* Perform carrier rate inquiries and schedule pick-ups and deliveries in alignment with company requirements.

* Schedule and prioritize carriers for shipment.

* Provide support to other roles within the shipping department as needed.

* Possess in-depth knowledge of customer volume needs and product specifications.

* Manage all inbound and outbound railcars, trucks, and barges.

* Maintain certifications for weighing systems.

* Enforce environmental, health, and safety (EHS) requirements.

* Other duties as assigned.

What we seek:

* High School diploma or equivalent required.

* Knowledge of the Bridgeport plant facilities, equipment capabilities, and company EHS procedures.

* Proficiency in SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.

* Understanding of customer specifications and volume requirements.

* Strong computer skills, including Excel, Outlook, and SAP.

* Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.

* Strong organizational skills with an ability to enhance daily productivity.

* Data management and analysis skills.

* Effective record-keeping and planning abilities.
