Shipping Department Head - CMMG : Job Details

DescriptionThis position will be M-F 8-4:30The Shipping Department Head is responsible for verifying all outgoing shipments of CMMG products to customers, verifying packing of items are ensured for safe delivery, and compares packing slip with sales order and label to verify accuracy of shipment. Prepares items for shipment ensuring cost effective courier services. Leads the work of retail shipping personnel performing related work.This position will be a working department head with a strategic focus while facilitating personnel management, operational management and interdepartmental communication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for training new staff and ensuring current staff maintain training.
• Observing the effective maintenance of safety rules and standards that CMMG has set forth.
• Managing time-lines and work priorities.
• Ensuring that the product effectively satisfies the quality level of CMMG before packaging.
• Supervising quality standards and enforcing quality control.
• Reviewing the overall performance and identifying training necessities of shipping personnel.

• Must know and strictly follow ATF regulations.
• Knowledge of using barcode equipment.
• Provides back-up support to other departments as required
• Supports/participates in the organization's Continuous Improvement Program.
