Our client, a leading international manufacturing company, is seeking a shipping/ receiving clerk to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, logistics shipping and receiving experience.
**Position Overview:**
The Shipping and Receiving Associate will be responsible for managing the flow of goods in and out of our facility. This role involves inspecting, packing, and shipping products, as well as receiving and organizing incoming shipments. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
+ Organize and store received products in designated areas.
+ Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling packages accurately.
+ Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory levels.
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of shipments.
+ Assist with inventory counts and audits as needed.
+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
**Qualifications:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a warehouse environment preferred.
+ Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
+ Ability to lift and move heavy packages (up to 50 lbs) as needed.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
+ Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
