Shipping/Receiving Associate - Aerotek : Job Details

Job Title: Shipping/Receiving AssociateJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Shipping/Receiving specialist. This role is integral to our operations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of shipping and receiving tasks.ResponsibilitiesPick, pack, and ship finished goods from the warehouse.Contact freight companies to schedule pickups through phone or digital portals.Receive, sort, label packages, and put them away in the warehouse.Consolidate inventory within the warehouse.Perform spot and cycle counts of warehouse inventory.Execute quality checks and inspections as needed.Maintain clean organization of goods, paperwork, and work area.Continuously build job knowledge through execution of Standard Operating Procedures.Participate in team performance and improvement meetings.Essential SkillsExperience in both shipping and receiving functions, with a greater emphasis on receiving.Proficiency in using ERP systems to check in shipments and track inventory.Attention to detail to manage paperwork with fine print.Ability to perform inventory counts and troubleshoot problems.Willingness to investigate inventory discrepancies thoroughly.Ability to operate a stand-up forklift (training available for those with sit-down experience).Proficiency with computer systems, including ERP and Excel Tools.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Forklift certification (will be provided if not already certified).Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to operate both sit-down and stand-up forklifts.Why Work Here?Join a team with a great culture and a strong sense of camaraderie.
