Shipping & Receiving Attendant I$19 - $21Responsibilities

• Check paperwork before unloading, counting all items to make sure they match the paperwork.
• Inspect all items for damage. Report all damage to a supervisor immediately.
• Make sure incoming product is put away in the correct place.
• Label all incoming product with appropriate lot number and enter into inventory management system.
• Before loading a truck, work with supervisor to map out the load.
• Before loading a truck, make sure the reefer is set to the correct temperature.
• Double check invoices and load sheets to be sure correct items are being placed on the pallet.
• When building pallets, ensure proper rotation (first in, first out).
• Record lot numbers on the load sheets and enter into inventory management system.
• At the end of each day, conduct physical inventory and reconcile with inventory management system.
• Handle all products carefully. If any damage occurs, report all damages to a supervisor, and do not ship damaged product.
• Work with warehouse supervisor to perform quality control inspections prior to loading products on trucks.
• Assist in other areas as needed.

Requirements

• General interest in learning warehousing procedures.
• Ability to accurately follow and document paperwork.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Ability and desire to learn and grow.
• Experience operating forklifts and electric pallet jacks in a safe manner preferred.
