Role and Responsibilities:

A Shipping & Receiving Clerk's main responsibilities include verifying accuracy of shipping & receiving paperwork, entering shipping information into company software and external freight providers' websites, receiving inbound Purchase Orders and working in a safe and effective manner.

• Promote a Safety-First culture. Report accident and near miss incidents immediately; Strive to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in a safe manner as needed. Complete all required and necessary safety checks.
• Maintain the housekeeping activities of the warehouse & other storage areas.
• Perform forklift safety inspections & report all damage or needed repairs immediately.
• Prepare shipping paperwork for outbound loads and assist Distribution Supervisor in the routing of loads.
• Enter all data into UPS/FedEx/DHL software for international parcel shipments.
• Receive all Purchase Orders into the system.
• Unload incoming shipments as needed.
• Ensure correct placement of product in warehouse.
• Pick, pack & load outbound shipments as needed.
• Ensure all shipping & receiving documentation is complete and accurate.
• Assist Will Call customers & work with Inside Sales Representatives to complete orders.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Distribution Supervisor.

Work Environment:

• General warehouse conditions, experiencing heat & cold temperature ranges.
• Outdoor in the elements.
• Office / Storeroom environment.
• Routine use of industrial equipment & tools such as overhead cranes, forklifts, carts & other material handling equipment.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a license to operate a forklift or at least one (1) year experience operating like equipment, and able to obtain a forklift operator's license.
• Possess the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner with accuracy and attention to detail
