Shipping & Receiving Clerk - Sterling Engineering : Job Details

Job DescriptionOverview: This role involves handling shipping and receiving duties for a manufacturing company, including labeling packages for FedEx and UPS, tracking shipments, reading blueprints to sort parts, and documenting shipments using Excel. The ideal candidate should have experience with shipping/receiving processes, especially within a manufacturing environment utilizing ERP systems to input order details. Job Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle FedEx and UPS labeling and tracking tasks
• Interpret blueprints to facilitate accurate sorting and organization of parts
• Maintain meticulous documentation using Excel for shipping activities
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills to ensure smooth workflow
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize shipping processes
• Utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for order tracking and data entry
• Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment (warehouse experience not required)
• Familiarity with UPS, FedEx, and ERP systems (order number input, etc.)
• Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and related software applications
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional education a plus)
