We are growing rapidly and looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk who will partner with our growing team. The role is located at our Tallahassee, FL location. You will be responsible for providing quality products to our customers in a timely, cost-efficient manner. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE You understand the heavy equipment business and have a drive for being an active part of solutions. You set the bar high and set an example for other leaders and colleagues on how to work collaboratively with the highest level of integrity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Equipment - Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with corporate safety standards. Complete any/all required training prior to operating designated equipment. Load, unload, move, stack, and stage product and materials using a forklift, pallet jack or other equipment. Maintain the facility's equipment checklists and keep materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion. Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift or other equipment. Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following described work methods. • Operate a Forklift. • Inventory - assist in keeping appropriate records to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained. Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. • Warehousing - Assist with any needed warehouse functions including, but not limited to, unloading trucks, stocking shelves, as well as any other tasks required by the Warehouse Coordinator. • Safety, Sanitation, Security - Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workspace. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct daily operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards. • Maintenance - Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as directed. Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Requirements • Ability to learn technical material. • Ability to safely lift and move equipment up to 70 pounds between workstations and storage. Distances range up to 20 feet. Height ranges up to 5 feet. • The person in this position needs to constantly move about service departments as well as, inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. • Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or other equipment to manage, move, lift, or replenish inventory. • Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, copy machine, laptop, mobile device, and computer printer. Must learn basic functionality in the Fleetwave service software • The person in this position frequently communicates with others who have inquiries about NESCO equipment. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. • Must be able to observe and identify equipment controls and functionality. • Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO. • Ability to work without direct supervision. Other Responsibilities: • Will assist with other projects as directed by the Supervisor or other members of Nesco management. Education and Experience: • Excellent communication skills, including telephone, e-mail, and verbal • High energy, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities • Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment • Exceptional time management skills • Computer and Smartphone literacy
