Shipping & Receiving - Staff on Site : Job Details

• Primary daily tasks and duties o Load and unload vehicles with the use of forklifts or pallet jacks. o Prepare product to be shipped using the best packaging method o Photograph all outgoing shipments / any incoming damaged shipments o Schedule carrier pickup per customer specifications o Verify all documentation and notify appropriate personnel of changes to received material or outgoing product o Keep all shipments and areas organized, clean, and accessible o Follow all safety policies and procedures • Administrative and data entry responsibilities o Receive product via customer paperwork verifying tolerances, revisions, pricing, and/or due dates. o Verify purchase order pricing and quantities in quote program and GM if needed. Contact customer direct for discrepancies in PO price and due dates. o Printing internal job card and incoming inspection information for received shipments o Jobcard entry of completed jobs o Occasional process updates • Preparing pre-production inspections o Perform incoming inspections o Prepare internal process paperwork o Understanding and complying with Ryeco's quality system o Work closely with quality personnel • Inventory o Ensuring an adequate supply of necessary items such as stretch wrap, banding, labels, packing slip envelopes, and paper. o Checking additional storage area behind S&R office for stock on gloves and other items stored there o Informing appropriate personnel when stock runs low • Other Duties as Assigned o Completing a daily or weekly task-list that has been approved by supervisors. o Weekly forklift checklist / battery charge electric forklift o Floor scrubber – charge, clean, maintenance, direct others who use it o Empty full swarf bins as needed o Notify disposal company to pick up outdoor swarf bin o Aid plow with snow removal if needed This position is active with moderate physical activity. Standing and/or walking for most of the day. Bending, twisting and reaching. Must be able to lift 40 lbs. or more on occasion.
