Job Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Lead is responsible for leading the department in ensuring that all shipments are properly received, and all documentation is verified.

What you'll do:

+ Lead, motivate and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.

+ Reviews shipments orders, stage and assigns tasks to appropriate personnel.

+ Work with supervisor to review the schedule to establish a plan for the evening shift.

+ Solves day-to-day problems regarding Shipping/Receiving services.

+ Greet and assist visitors/drivers in a timely and friendly manner.

+ Coordinate with warehouse and transportation to ensure timely and accurate preparation of shipping and receiving documents.

+ Receives, counts, and logs cash received by carriers if applicable.

+ Maintain WMS Scheduler, hard copy schedules, and updates visual aids for traffic flow.

+ Verify paperwork with and releases drivers once paperwork is completed.

+ Completes receipts including pallets for loads.

+ Verify product and product count to ensure accuracy of data entered in computer.

+ Arrange outbound pick-up appointments for carriers and customer pickups.

+ Call carriers for late and/or no-show trucks and reschedule appointments as necessary.

+ Follows HACCP and SQF requirements for food quality and safety.

+ Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills:

+ At least 1 year Shipping & Receiving experience.

+ 1 year managing others required.

+ Must have basic math and computer skills.

+ Experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

+ Strong Interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

+ Great attention to detail.

+ Must be a team player.

+ Willing to work weekends, holidays or different shifts when needed to ensure the business is operational 24/7.
