Job Description :
Job Summary: The Shipping Receiving Specialist will work closely with the Shipping Supervisor and other departments to ensure each order goes out the door accurately, on time and in a safe manner. Personnel will process orders by selecting the correct products, packaging and labeling them according to procedures, and will load LTL carriers safely and swiftly. Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Shipping Supervisor in the timely and accurate shipment of finished products to customers.
  • Fulfill orders by selecting the correct products and packaging them to be shipped in a safe manner - following protocols and procedures.
  • Maintaining a positive and willing attitude as they will represent the company to vendors, third party carriers and customer's picking up directly from our dock.
  • Work with Customer Service and other departments to maintain inventory, staging areas and ensure accurate details of each shipment.
  • Route incoming materials to proper departments.
  • Process receipts of incoming materials.
  • Process and review all documents related to shipments to ensure accuracy.
  • Load/unload large trucks and verify accuracy of paperwork, product and order.
  • Ensuring courteous and professionalism around customers while loading product.
  • Report any defects or shortages of incoming materials to the department supervisor.
  • Maintain work area and equipment to be in clean and orderly condition. Follow prescribed safety regulations and procedures.
  • Fill in as needed in the absence of other Team Members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
PM21 Requirements Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of factory related experience in shipping and receiving.
  • Required to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions in English. Basic math (addition and subtraction) skills a must.
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
  • At least some experience in working with computers for data entry purposes.
  • Must be trained and certified to operate a forklift.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and National Criminal Background Check.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs. regularly - sometimes in awkward settings and weight distributions.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move .
