Shipping/Receiving Supervisor - Synerfac : Job Details

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:The following positions report to the Supervisor:* Lead Person* Standard Crewing (approximately 12 for shipping and receiving)DUTIES:* Communicates scheduling of shipments by notifying departments or customers of arrival dates.* Communicates and coordinates with other departments receiving operation.* Protects shipments by investigating causes of damage or shortages in consignments or overcharges for freight or insurance.* Completes paperwork for shipping and receiving operations.* Protects shipments by investigating causes of damage or shortages in consignments or overcharges for freight or insurance.* Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts, reconciling with data storage system.* Maintains inter- and intradepartmental workflow by fostering a spirit of cooperation.* Maintains department staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.* Maintain, correct and submit daily and weekly timecards for employees for payroll using UKG* Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed* Operate high reach truck, put away, and picking when needed* Work in a refrigeration environment with temperatures of 28-32 degrees Fahrenheit Job RequirementsPhysical Requirements:* Walking, standing, bending, twisting* Lifting up to 30 pounds, at arm s length, on a continual basis* Occasionally lifts up to 60 pounds* Use of both hands and arms* Must be able to work in a safety sensitive positionEducation:Required: High School Diploma or GED.Preferred: Associate Degree in Management, Food Science or a related discipline.Experience:Required: At least 2- 5 years of increasingly responsible production supervision or management experience in a food processing industry.Preferred: Same as required including at least one year in the meat or associated, perishable food processing industry.
