Each of our ingredients responds to unique and essential needs, and they enable healthier lifestyles. The Role: We are looking for our next Shipping Specialist within our Shipping team. The Shipping Specialist will be responsible for managing scale and system operations of raw materials from our suppliers to the proper areas and finished product to our customers, coordinate and secure adequate equipment for movement of dry packaged product to our warehouse to ensure uninterrupted plant operations, maintain and manage timely rail switches to ensure continuous plant operations, coordinate and establish optimal safety within the plant by following policies and procedures set forth, and provide 24/7 plant-wide cross-functional support. This position is located in Keokuk, Iowa What We Offer:

What You'll Do:
  • Prioritization and operation of inbound/outbound truck scale
  • Daily management of dry van and recyclable trailer movement
  • Accurately direct inbound carriers
  • Inspect all inbound and outbound paperwork to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Utilize familiarity with DOT regulations to ensure compliance
  • Perform cross-functional duties at night and on weekends and holidays
  • Serve as dispatch for plant-wide incident reporting procedure
  • Maintain flexibility to handle several tasks concurrently and ensure that each is progressing as required
  • Identify shipping and receiving errors/problems and develop problem resolution tasks in response
  • Maintain inbound freight record of chemical rail cars for the plant
  • Receiving chemical trucks in SAP
  • Collaborate with Operations, Logistics, Customer Care, Quality and Purchasing
  • Work directly with carriers, customers, suppliers and other external constituencies
What You'll Need: Education:
  • Associate degree in business or related field and/or equivalent experience with functional teams
Experience:
  • Ability to effectively adhere to time constraints/deadlines
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated behaviors including self-motivation, strong organization skills, dependability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to make quick, appropriate decisions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office products
  • Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift, which will include nights, weekends, and holidays
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
  • This is a full-time position. Days and flexible hours of work are required to meet facility demands.
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk, climb stairs, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms; work in hot, cold and loud environments. Employee must be able to wear a respirator.
