Job Type Full-time Description PRIMARY FUNCTION: Performs a variety of tasks to verify, process and ship finished products to the customer in an accurate, timely manner utilizing the best methods available or as specified by the customer. JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Performs daily maintenance check of forklift truck to ensure all fluid levels, tire pressure, brakes and lights are operational.
• Maintains fuel level in forklift truck filling when necessary using standard procedures.
• Operates forklift truck as licensed.
• Operates cranes as necessary following established procedures as trained.
• Reviews due date control list to determine which parts are required by customer and facilitates parts delivery to shipping in timely manner.
• Locates required parts and prepares for shipping.
• Operates banding machine to secure parts onto pallet in prescribed manner.
• Checks all paperwork to determine if quantity and part numbers match the customer order.
• Loads truck (flat bed or van) in the most efficient manner to ensure weight is properly distributed.
• Processes customer bill and bill of lading following established guidelines.
• Assists Shipping Supervisor by contacting trucking companies to expedite LTL orders as requested.
• Communicates with customer for the purpose of answering questions or obtaining information.
• Maintains files, logs and records as required.
• Coordinates the work of temporary employees as assigned by Supervisor.
• Assists with loading incoming shipments and labels materials as required.
• Maintains good housekeeping standards in assigned area.
• Performs all duties following established safety procedures and guidelines using assigned safety equipment.
• Performs other duties as required.

• Must be familiar with parts numbering system and be able to visually identify parts by number.
• Must be able to use computer to enter information and process customer billing and trucking bills of lading.
• Requires a knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations.
• Requires skill in use of cranes, forklift, and normal office equipment such as copier, fax, and scanner.
• Must be able to read and interpret production schedules, customer orders, shipping documents and instructions.
• Requires the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Must be licensed or certified to operate a forklift and overhead crane.

• High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent combination of education and work experience is required to possess the skill to perform the job.
• Up to three months' work experience is required to become proficient in most phases of the job.
