Shipyard Welder Foreman - Carver Companies : Job Details

Key Responsibilities:* Lead welding projects, ensuring work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.* Ensure compliance with ABS (American Bureau of Shipping) and USCG (United States Coast Guard) regulations.* Supervise and mentor welding staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.* Coordinate with project managers to ensure timely completion of projects.* Oversee the preparation and execution of dry docking for barges and tugs, ensuring all processes meet industry standards.* Conduct regular safety and compliance audits, acting as the Shipyard Competent Person.* Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to optimize project outcomes.* Implement and maintain best practices for welding and fabrication processes.Requirements:* Proven experience as a Shipyard/Welding Leadman or similar role.* Minimum 5 years of Maritime Experience* Certification as a Shipyard Competent Person.* In-depth knowledge of ABS/USCG regulations.* Experience with Barge and Tug Dry dockings.* Strong leadership and team management skills.* Excellent communication and organizational abilities.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
