Leveraging our modern facility in the greater Philadelphia area with the latest fabrication equipment and an experienced team of engineers & technicians, Radicle engages in flexible partnerships with early-stage startups and lab researchers to collaboratively mature their hardware technologies. Radicle is seeking a full-time Shop Apprentice to join the growing team in our precision sheetmetal fabrication and engineering services businesses. Selected candidates will support the shop with various entry-level technician tasks, with the opportunity to receive on-the-job training to operate and maintain Radicle's advanced CNC equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with finishing sheetmetal parts, including deburring, countersinking, and bead blasting
  • Prepare completed parts for shipment following company packing and wrapping guidelines
  • Use standard metrology tools and inspection techniques to assess dimensional conformance of sheetmetal parts
  • Perform general shop cleaning to keep the workspace safe and organized
  • Support machine operators and technicians as needed with material handling and other tasks
  • Perform assembly work for engineering projects using manual and power tools
  • Opportunity to learn and operate shop machinery as required to potentially include a laser cutter/turret press, press brake and/or robotic laser welder
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain quality standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Vocational training and prior experience in a warehousing, manufacturing, or fabrication environment preferred but not required
  • Hardworking and dependable – we need someone who shows up ready to work
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
  • Comfortable with hands-on work and operating manual and power tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
