JX Truck Center - Morton is a subsidiary of JX Enterprises, Inc.We have 25 dealerships in 4 states: Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.As of this posting, the Morton dealership has approximately 14 employees in all of their departments.Currently, JX Enterprises, Inc. employs approximately 1,250 people.Position OverviewThe Shop Helper will be assigned to various duties in the Service Department (at our Trailer shop) that interacts, participates and assists the effective operation of the shop.This is a Monday - Friday, first shift position.Pay: $20.00/hr.Bonus/Commission/Incentive Program: NoShift: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday)Shift Premium: Any hours worked/work performed Monday - Friday, 5:00 p.m. - 5:59 a.m., and/or any hours worked on weekends (Saturday/Sunday), will be paid a shift differential of 15% of your base wage.Working Arrangement: On-site (100%)Interview process: 2 interviews at the most (depending on if a recruiter is asked to conduct a phone interview or not).# of openings: 1Time Frame to Fill: As soon as we find the right candidate for the job, and someone who fits in with our Morton team. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the overall cleanliness of shopCleaning responsibilities include but are not limited to cleaning bays, emptying garbage, etcDeliver parts as quickly and efficiently as possible to shop techniciansResponsible for the overall cleanliness of shopPull trucks into and out of the shop as directed by the Service Advisor(s)Must desire the opportunity to learn the business and grow within the businessMust treat customers in a diplomatic and courteous mannerOther duties as assigned to support and increase technician proficiency/efficiencyThe above list reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle and essential functions of the position and shall not be construed as the only duties that may be assigned for the position.
