Shop Janitor - MountainOne : Job Details

JOB SUMMARY: The Shop Janitor is responsible for keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:â ¢ Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming daily and as neededâ ¢ Service and clean all restroomsâ ¢ Dust walls, machines and equipmentâ ¢ Clean windowsâ ¢ Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipmentâ ¢ Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and grounds and building maintenance as necessaryâ ¢ Remove snow from walkways using snow shovels and spread snow melting chemicalsâ ¢ Liaise with supervisor on problems to achieve efficient repairâ ¢ Identify abnormalities and repairs required within the building and advise the supervisors accordinglyâ ¢ Identify areas of process improvement, cost and waste reductionâ ¢ Work in an efficient and timely mannerâ ¢ Undertake relevant training and development as requiredâ ¢ Carry out duties within a realistic time line ensuring that deadlines are metâ ¢ Maintain cooperative working relationship and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse populationADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS:â ¢ Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucksâ ¢ Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs and trash receptacles to prepare facilities for company events and meetingsâ ¢ Adhere to and carry out existing work practices, procedures and policiesâ ¢ Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and associated guidelines where appropriateâ ¢ Understand and comply with safety and environmental policiesâ ¢ Other duties as assigned#J-18808-Ljbffr
