Job Summary:

The Shop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mobile equipment fleet within the assigned territory, ensuring alignment with the Company's vision and operational objectives. This role involves supervising a team of skilled technicians in the management of the maintenance and repair facility, with an unwavering commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality in all operations.

Essential Functions:

2. Protect family and friends. Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of members and others in and around the shop.

3. Safety always wins. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment by promoting good housekeeping practices.

4. Ensure compliance with FMCSA fleet maintenance regulations and maintain accurate records.

5. Respect and engage. Coordinate with managers to address division equipment needs and schedule periodic maintenance for fleet vehicles and equipment.

6. Results matter. Prioritize, assign, and track fleet repairs, order parts, and support equipment repairs to ensure timely completion.

7. Obligated. Respond to off-site vehicle incidents to assist with investigation and recovery efforts.

8. Measurement. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support company procurement, invoice, and payroll procedures.

9. Communicate. Assist with staffing input, performance evaluations, training opportunities, and partnering with local BOCES programs to support workforce development.

10. Humility. Support facility maintenance needs, including HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and ensure safe points of egress.

Requirements, Education and Experience:

1. High school diploma Required - associate's degree preferred.

2. Minimum 5 years' experience working in the Heavy Equipment or Trucking Industry.

3. Minimum 5 years' experience in a supervisory position.

4. Must be familiar with the Microsoft suite of applications Word, Excel and Power Point.

5. Strong communication skills, proficient use of verbal and written English.

6. Valid driver's license required, must maintain reliable transportation.

7. Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.

Travel:

Position may require up to 5% travel by personal vehicle to offices throughout the state of New York, and New England based on the needs of the business.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

This job operates partially in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers. The abilities to sit at a desk, frequent walking, bending, or standing, as necessary, are required. In addition, this position works near moving mechanical parts and heavy equipment. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. or more and requires pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching and driving long distances.
