Precision Planting is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Precision Planting Technician. This position encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including working in the shop, testing software issues, and operating machinery to test issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for precision agriculture.
Your Impact
* Machine Maintenance
* Perform assembly, maintenance, and repair tasks on Precision Planting equipment.
* Conduct diagnostic tests to identify issues and implement appropriate solutions.
* Testing Software Issues
* Test software issues on Precision Planting equipment locally.
* Utilize troubleshooting techniques to diagnose software-related problems and document findings.
* Provide timely feedback to the development team regarding software performance and potential improvements.
* Operation of Machinery for Issue Testing
* Operate machinery to simulate field conditions and test software issues.
* Monitor equipment performance and collect data to identify and replicate issues.
* Work closely with the engineering team to develop testing protocols and ensure accurate results.
Your Experience and Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Experience in mechanical assembly, maintenance, and repair, preferably in an agricultural setting.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and familiarity with diagnostic tools.
* Ability to operate machinery safely and effectively.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
