Job Description :
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Loading, driving and making deliveries
  • Familiar with D.O.T. requirements and regulations
  • Loading and unloading equipment such as Auto Cranes, forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Able to load, boom, and secure freight for effective load balance
  • Familiar with customer policies and requirements
  • Maintain excellent customer service at all customer locations
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
  • Various warehouse related duties as assigned
  • Maintain D.O.T. Drivers logs
  • Keep in contact with Supervisor and/or customer reporting any delay in schedule
QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Meet all D.O.T. requirements as listed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
  • Possess a Class A CDL with combination double/triple trailer endorsement.
  • Able to read, write and understand English
PREFERRED
  • Warehouse experience
  • Able to operate a forklift
PHYSICAL/ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS• Must stand, sit or drive for 4-15 hours• Use hands driving, for repetitive simple grasping, pushing, pulling and fine manipulation• 50 lb weight lifting restriction• Use feet frequently in driving and repetitive movement• Frequently bend, squat, lift and carry freight, shipping materials and equipment to secure cargo• Able to climb up and down on trucks, trailers, docks and large freight items• Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather and surface conditions• Safely tie down and chain various loads Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
