Simulation Engineer - Project EngineerJob DescriptionThe ePowertrain Simulation Engineer will work within the ePowertrain NPI simulation team and collaborate closely with the ePowertrain component and sub-system teams, including power-source, power electronics, motors, and controls. The primary focus of this role is to simulate the ePowertrain system performance for specific configurations. The engineer will be responsible for executing simulation requests, communicating results, and documenting core simulation processes. Additionally, this role involves developing new simulation capabilities to predict ePowertrain system performance and durability.Responsibilities+ Execute ePowertrain NPI simulation requests and communicate results/learning from these activities.+ Develop and document core simulation processes and ensure adherence to these processes.+ Report progress on simulation requests.+ Document significant results/findings of simulation activities.Essential Skills+ 3+ years of experience in 1D simulation.+ Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.+ Proficiency in Matlab and Simulink.+ Experience with powertrain and ePowertrain systems.Additional Skills & Qualifications+ Interest in a long-term role.+ Open-minded and willing to learn new things.+ Experience with validation, electrical engineering, test equipment, new product development, test engineering, electric drive, battery systems, and Altair software.+ Graduates from Clemson or Kettering universities preferred.Work EnvironmentThis role is based in Mossville, IL, in a building with air conditioning. The position follows a 3/2 hybrid work model, requiring a minimum of 3 days on-site per week.
