We are dedicated to excellence in our products and a supportive, safe work environment for our employees.Position Overview As a Sinter Operator, you will be responsible for sintering and heat-treating pressed parts, as well as conducting in-process testing to ensure quality. This role involves operating complex machinery, adhering to stringent safety protocols, and maintaining accurate records of production data.Key Responsibilities1. Safety - Optimize safety and minimize risks. - Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). - Follow necessary safety precautions related to: - Close handling of high-temperature material up to 1200C. - Flammable powders. - Hydrogen. - Material handling (lifting up to 50 lbs.). - Nitrogen/Argon gases.2. Work Instructions and Process Control Standards (PCS) - Read, understand, and follow work instructions and PCS. - Access Paradigm to review and print relevant instructions. - Recommend revisions and updates to work instructions and PCS as needed.3. Machinery Setup - Stack parts to set standards in sinter boats and foil packs. - Load furnaces and select the correct checklist/program.4. Machinery Maintenance - Clean and organize machinery, equipment, and work areas. - Perform required preventative maintenance. - Maintain inventory of foil packs and separators. - Request reorder of consumables as needed.5. Machinery Operation - Operate tube furnaces, horizontal and vertical vacuum furnaces, vacuum storage tubes, in-process testing systems, wire brushes, and nitrogen boxes/lines. - Follow checklists and operating procedures. - Keep jobs separated and clean parts before in-process inspection. - Meet established quality standards and production rates.6. Data Recording - Accurately record data into ERP systems, manufacturing routers, logs, databases, and control charts.7. In-Process Inspection - Conduct inspections as required during production.8. Escalation Policy - Adhere to EEC's escalation policy to address production issues promptly.Accountability - Perform to the best of your ability to achieve assigned outputs.- Communicate with your manager if outputs are at risk or if you have ideas for improvement.- Seek guidance when necessary to ensure optimal performance.Mandatory Requirements1. Knowledge/Education/Certification - High school diploma or equivalent required.2. Experience - One to two years of experience in a similar role preferred.3. Role Complexity - Involves routine and diversified activities, requiring a solid understanding of specific processes.4. Inspection Requirements - Requires rigorous analysis and testing to complex standards in a laboratory setting.5. Responsibility for Accuracy - Attention to detail is crucial; errors may result in moderate material or time loss.6. Decision Making - Some responsibility for minor operational decisions affecting costs and processes.7. Communication - Requires occasional verbal and written communication, including maintaining logs and records.8. Supervision Received - Work independently with occasional guidance from supervisors.9. Tools and Equipment - Competence in operating complex instruments, machines, or equipment.10. Equipment and Work Area Responsibility* - Responsible for machine setup, basic maintenance, and cleaning; moderate care required.11. Confidentiality - Minimal responsibility for confidentiality beyond standard company policies.12. Hazards and Working Conditions - High to very high potential for injury or health damage; adherence to safety protocols is essential.13.
