In coordination with the Global EH&S Director and Manufacturing Manager, the EH&S Coordinator will manage the site's environmental and safety programs, drive continuous improvement in the site's safety policies and procedures, and recommend improvements to manufacturing processes or equipment to improve environmental compliance and safety. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for all environmental and site safety related matters.Primary ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental, Health and Safety - GeneralDesign, educate and train to a Corporate Safety Policies that promotes employee safety and security and is in compliance with OSHA Guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy workplace.Help ensure that OSHA, Pennsylvania DEP and other local regulatory requirements are met for training, documentation and reporting.Coordinate and manage site level safety programs to promote and ensure a safe working environment.Continuous review of operations with the goal of mitigating safety risk to our employees. Key areas include emergency preparedness, accident prevention, general safety, and risk management.Environmental, Health and Safety - SpecificsEHS Dashboard & Safety KPI'sOn a monthly basis, update all sections of the EHS Dashboard.Distribute to key management.Communicate with all employees.Use KPI's as a tool to evaluate the effectiveness of Oliver's safety and environmental programs and make adjustments for continuous improvement.Lead the effort to oversee each Accident, Incident and Investigation and identify and correct all potential areas of risk.Ensure all documentation has been properly filled out and filed in the correct areas.Risk AssessmentWork with Engineering during the Installation Qualification phase to assess safety risk using tools such as Process Safety Audits (PSA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and Safety Risk Assessments (SRA).Work in conjunction with Production Supervisors and Shop Floor Employees to identify and assess risk using risk mitigation processes such as Process Safety Audits (PSA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA) and Safety Risk Assessments (SRA).Implement the principles of DMAIC to manage and implement process improvements and ensure that process changes are fully documented, that all training is complete and monitored for sustainability.Safety TeamThe EH&S Coordinator will lead cross functional teams across all shifts in discussing areas of potential risk and ensure open items are being addressed in a timely fashion.Review the EHS Dashboard and key safety indicators.Schedule all future Safety Audits and Observation Areas.Review all Post-Accident (OIR & Property Damage) open action items.Review all Pre-Accident (Safety Audits, Observation Program & Employee Input) open action items.Seek input from Safety Team Members.Conduct Safety Committee Training as needed.Employee Engagement (Behavior Based)Through training and employee engagement, focus on the behaviors of our employees to ensure that all employees are aware of expectations to ensure a safe workplace.Regulatory ComplianceWork with Pennsylvania DEP (PaDEP) to ensure regulatory compliance during any new equipment installations that include Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) or other hazardous emissions.Ensure air emission regulatory compliance with the PaDEP on a yearly basis.Model the company values to create a culture of open communication, data-driven decisions, relentless preparation, winning as a team, and over-delivering.Basic QualificationsBachelor of Science Degree or minimum relevant work experience required.5+ years of safety program management; OR the equivalent combination of education and skills.OSHA 30-Hour Certification Experience.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S.Experience in manufacturing operations.Strong background in machine safety and behavior-based safety.Working ConditionsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 10lbs.Frequent visits to the manufacturing floor.Special RequirementsAbility to travel (US and internationally).Ability to work evenings and/or weekends.DisclaimerThis job description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
