Position Summary: The Operations Site Manager oversees all facets of a branch's operations, including warehouse management, trucking logistics, inventory control, personnel supervision, and facility maintenance. Their primary objective is to ensure efficient and profitable warehouse operations while prioritizing safety and superior customer service. The role requires adherence to operational guidelines, implementation of Warehouse Management Software, and effective management of high-volume wholesale shipments. Strong organizational skills, goal achievement, and professional communication with customers and staff are essential for success in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Overall Site Management:
    • Ensure smooth daily operations of the site.
    • Oversee all activities, processes, and personnel to achieve operational goals.
  • Resource Allocation:
    • Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
    • Optimize resource utilization to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Quality Control:
    • Monitor quality standards and ensure products or services meet specifications.
    • Implement quality assurance measures and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Customer Relations:
    • Liaise with customers or clients regarding operational matters and service delivery.
    • Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • Understanding and experience with the lean principles such as Six Sigma preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage Warehouse Management Software
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage detail on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Solid understanding of Motor Carrier Safety/ DOT guidelines
  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Strong PC skills, including experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and the Internet.
  • Able to be forklift certified
