Job Title: Site Project Scheduler
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Project Scheduler to create and manage the Integrated Site Master Schedule (ISMS) based on inputs from all project stakeholders. This role involves overseeing engineering projects to ensure timely completion within budget and to the required quality standards. The ideal candidate will develop achievable master schedules, identify key problem areas, and recommend solutions within the program scope, timing, and cost.
Responsibilities
Create Integrated Site Master Schedule (ISMS) based on inputs from all project stakeholders, including Body, Paint, Final, MP&L, IT, Stamping Engineering, and Prime Contractors.
Oversee engineering projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Develop achievable master schedule critical paths for project, program, and contractual milestones.
Identify key problem areas and recommend workaround solutions within the program scope, timing, and cost.
Prepare project and program status reports based on current and forecast schedules; implement and maintain schedule change control.
Analyze construction schedules and recommend workarounds and schedule improvement ideas.
Validate contractors' project schedule accuracy and manage the site-wide interdependencies.
Collaborate with other skilled team scheduling resources to ensure schedule accuracy leading up to a site-wide rollup.
Conduct and facilitate daily/weekly ISMS reviews with the program team.
Prepare trend analysis to identify problem areas and submit recommendations for corrective actions.
Develop scheduling status reports and regular schedule deliverables for review at Program Management meetings.
Commit to working 10 hours per day, 5 days a week, with occasional weekend overtime requirements.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in project management or engineering with project management experience.
Certification as a PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
7-8 years of experience as a project scheduler/program manager in the automotive manufacturing industry.
Experience with project management within engineering and production.
Advanced proficiency in MS Projects.
Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
Advanced ability to evaluate project progress and facilitate interventions.
Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and progress.
Strong time management, communication, analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Prior experience with our client, General Motors, or Stellantis.
Experience managing within a final assembly for a vehicle.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Stamping Engineering and Final Assembly.
Experience in documentation and reporting.
Work Environment
The Oakville Assembly Plant is a dynamic and collaborative environment. The candidate will spend most of their time working closely with other project managers, focusing on final assembly tasks. The plant is undergoing significant transformations, including the addition of a new 407,000 square-foot on-site battery plant.
