Join us and be part of a team that values its people!Site Safety Officer | 2nd Shift | 12 hour ShiftResponsibilities:Be on-site during all work activities, monitor daily weather, maintain safety materials, conduct site walks, and implement corrective actions. Track deficiencies, provide safety logs, and attend pre-construction and safety meetings. Deliver weekly safety toolbox meetings, update site-specific safety plans, and ensure compliance with safety and health requirements. Conduct safety inspections, maintain records, provide safety orientation and training, manage PPE inventory, and ensure effective dust suppression. Investigate mishaps, recommend actions, approve decontamination of equipment, and optimize care for injured employees.Required Qualifications:5+ years of safety experience in construction2+ years of safety programs at hazardous waste sites with level C PPE.OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher.OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card (valid within past 5 years).Current First Aid/CPR certification.24 hours of documented safety and occupational health training (excluding OSHA 30).Training in personal and respiratory protective equipment, and air monitoring/sampling methods.USACE experience with the EM 385 1-1 preferredUS Citizenship for security clearance and ability to pass a federal background checkPreferred Experience:Stream bypassing and riverine restorations.Temporary excavation dewatering, water management, and treatment.Contaminated soil and sediment handling.Waste characterization and disposal.Perimeter air monitoring.Groundwater extraction and treatment systems.Soil stabilization and mixing.Site restoration activities.Skills:Strong teamwork, communication, and people skills.Excellent verbal and written skills.Strong analytical, time management, and organizational skills.Professional demeanor and ethical behavior.Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations.Experience in construction safety procedures.Physical Requirements:Ability to traverse, climb, and inspect all jobsite areas in various weather conditions.Ability to lift 50 pounds.Ability to wear various levels of PPE, including Level B, C, and D.
