About The Role - Site Supervisor (Homer, GA)

The objective of this position is to manage on site Total Load Source/Down The Hole Orica teams, plant and ancillary equipment in accordance with the service level agreement, corporate and regulatory standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the Orica Safety, Health, Environmental and Security (SHES) requirements, as well as complete adoption of CHECKPOINT, and Quality programs.

What you will be doing

Safety, Health, Environment & Security

* Active management of SHES programs and Orica Group Standards, ensuring team adherence.

* Ensure Work Permits/ SHES permits are completed before any work is carried out on Site.

* Ensures that all equipment is in safe/operating condition.

* Safety leader, proactively striving to reduce number of accidents, incidents and near misses

Financial Management

* Analytical/decisive support to reduce operating costs and achieve operational goals

* Participate in the short, medium, and long-term planning activities of the site.

People Development

* Pro-actively recruit, train, and develop employees

* Complete objective setting and performance evaluations of all employees.

Site Operations

* Conduct/Record safety meetings

* Complete monthly inventory counts and reconciliations.

* Audit and inspect site operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met and performed safely in accordance company policies.

* Ensure mandatory training of all employees is completed and documented.

* Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure all preventative maintenance is completed/recorded on time.

* Forecast & maintain appropriate inventory levels to minimize on-hand-inventory while ensuring customer demand is uninterrupted.

* Ensure regulatory compliance across multiple agency audits/inspections and implement necessary action plans.

Customer Service

* Timely communications/scheduling with customers optimizing fleet utilization.

* Proactively engage with local customer sites to ensure operational excellence from the team.

Role dimensions

* Managing at least 10 direct reports to include CDL drivers and Blasters

* Responsibility for Orica equipment and vehicles.

Your qualifications

* Minimum 3 years' experience in management position with operations, and employee/customer.

* Ability to analyze/impact financial data utilizing SAP, and Resource Modelling.

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and the Internet.

* Organization, attentive to detail, time management and quality control.

* Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

* Knowledge of Federal, State, and other applicable regulations.

* Mechanical comprehension of operation/maintenance of equipment.

* Dangerous goods experience

* Heavy industry preferably mining experience.

* Clearance Authority - permit to work knowledge.

* Applicable driver's license

Compensation Range

* Full Time Salaried position

* Salary Rate $70,200 - $98,280

* Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan

(Salary to be determined by the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
