Skating and Hockey Assistant - Olmstead Medical Center : Job Details

Supplemental/PRN

Qualifications:

* Strong background and experience in hockey

* High School graduate

* Junior or College hockey playing experience preferred

* Knowledge of skating fundamentals, basic stick handling, and shooting techniques

* BLS certification

Job Responsibilities:

* Observes and adjusts potential problems with each athlete's skating mechanics along with shooting and stick handling ability

* Identifies and builds relationships with local market groups to promote SMAP programs

* Builds and maintains professional relationships with athletes

* Educates athletes by targeting their specific training needs

* Recruits, trains, and oversees hockey athletes

* Measure pre- and post-program assessments

* Ensures scheduling and maintenance of equipment and cleanliness of the hockey training area/facility

* Coordinates with OMC staff to ensure a strong service line and team approach

* Enjoys teaching youth; and the ability and confidence to train young beginner athletes as well as advanced athletes

* Other duties as assigned
