Excellent opportunity for anyone considering graduate school in the Counseling/Social Work field.Job Summary:Works under the weekly supervision of the YAP Clinical Supervisor in the planning, support, implementation and evaluation of skills-specific personal care services for youth in the Sender House and Satellite Apartment. Provides education, support, direction and modeling of personal care to youth to support specific youth treatment goals and to prepare the youth for success outside of the Sender House environment. Consults with team members and agency personnel regarding current youth issues related to personal care. On a daily basis provides and documents personal care services to youth which may include but is not limited to supports related to physical appearance, grooming, nutrition, physical & dental health, medication administration, sleep hygiene, exercise, housekeeping, and food planning and preparation. Position Time/hour:
  • 32 Hours week - Friday - Monday 11:00pm - 7:00am (overnight shift)
  • Starting rate of pay: $20.25 + $1.00/hour shift differential

  • Experience providing support to adolescent populations is preferred
  • Must meet Qualified Mental Health Associate and Qualified Mental Health Professional Standards per OAR 291-###-####
A qualified mental health associate (QMHA) must meet the following minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a behavioral sciences field; or
  • A combination of at least three years relevant work, education, training, or experience; and
  • Demonstrate the competency necessary to communicate effectively; understand mental health assessment, treatment and service terminology and apply these concepts; provide psychosocial skills development; implement interventions as assigned on an individual plan of care; and provide behavior management and case management duties.
