Job DescriptionESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:•Monitors and manages the daily floor, beverage & EVS operations including supervising all front-line personnel. •Properly schedules employees to ensure that the highest levels of guest service are delivered while maintaining labor expenditures. •Constantly monitors daily labor-to-volume metrics and makes staffing adjustments as necessary. •Develops employees through training, coaching, empowerment, evaluating performance, recognition, and administering disciplinary actions; motivates employees through leading by example, creating a shared vision, displaying integrity, sound decision-making skills, being fair and consistent in execution of his/her daily duties.•Thorough and complete knowledge of allinternal controls, Illinois Gaming Board rules, company regulations andpolicies including Controlling Alcohol Risks Effectively techniques andCurrency Transaction Reporting laws. (MTL/CTR/W2G).•Is able to generate and review allnecessary paperwork for accuracy, completeness and compliance.•Thorough knowledge of various types ofslot machines, their functions, malfunctions and payout schedules.•Observes verifiers, supervises andcountersigns all hand paid jackpots.•Oversees all jackpots, ticket fills,identifies attempts to cheat or damage slot machines and irregularities.•Thorough and complete knowledge of allbeverage dispensing systems and point of sale accounting systems; maintainsappropriate/accurate inventories of liquor and supplies, accurate food beveragecost controls.•Maintains a comfortable, clean,organized and safe environment for internal and external guests; consistentlydisplays an attentive, upbeat, and enthusiastic attitude•Fosters a culture of fun, excitementand high-energy, while prioritizing service to differentiate service by tier.•Provides fast flawless and exceptionalservice on a consistent basis; creates opportunities to talk to guests bypromoting products and services, anticipates needs and following up onrequests.•Individuals must be able to performall technical functions of the slot host, beverage, and EVS employeerequirements.•Communicates and works well withsupport departments to achieve property and department goals and objectives.•Acts as a role model to otheremployees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's and encouragesothers to do the same.•Adheres to all regulatory, company anddepartment policies and procedures.•Completes all other duties asassigned.QUALIFICATIONS:•High school diploma or equivalentrequired. •Must be proficient in Microsoft Officeand Outlook.•Strong and sincere guest servicesorientation; must possess leadership skills and have excellent verbal andwritten communication skills.•Preferred experience includes, but isnot limited to strong knowledge of slot operations, internal procedures,abbreviations and codes.•Knowledge of food service standards,wine varietals and wine service.•Creative, self-motivated, possessrudimentary scheduling skills.•Able to foster teamwork as well aspossess a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks.•Must be flexible in schedule toinclude nights, Holidays, and weekends.•Must pass SuperLap.•Internal candidates must meet Harrah'sJoliet transfer eligibility requirements.JOBDEMANDS:•Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. andcarry objects weighing up to 50lbs.•Position requires 10% standing, 5%sitting, 85% walking.•Requires some pushing, twisting,climbing, bending, kneeling, stooping and frequent reaching above and belowshoulders.•Must be able to respond to touch,speech, smell, aural and visual cues.•Must be able to work in areascontaining high noise levels, bright lights and dust.•Must be able to work in a fast-pacedenvironment involving constant internal and external customer contact.•Must be able to maneuver to all areasof the casino.•Must be able to walk and be on feetfor long periods of time.•Auditory range must include immediateenvironment, clear vision for near and medium distances, as well as, goodperipheral vision.Compensation & Benefits:
  • $58,000 - $60,000

Shift Details:
  • Late Swing Shift: 5:00 pm - 1:00 am (Wednesday & Thursday off)
