Located in Albany, OR Salary: $18.00-$20.00Small Engine Technician Position Overview:We are looking for an experienced Small Engine Repair Technician to join our team. This role focuses on repairing and maintaining a variety of small engines, with an emphasis on air compressors, boat motors, lawn equipment, and other small machinery. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with engine diagnostics, repair, and maintenance, as well as a passion for outdoor equipment.Key Responsibilities:Diagnose and Repair Engines: Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of small engines, including those in air compressors, boat motors, dirt bikes, generators, and other power equipment.Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks such as oil changes, air filter replacements, spark plug checks, and other preventive maintenance to ensure equipment runs efficiently.Chainsaw and Trimmer Services: Sharpen chains, adjust tension, and maintain chainsaws, string trimmers, and weed eaters for optimal performance.General Repairs: Work on lawn mowers, lawn tractors, leaf blowers, chipper/mulchers, outboard engines, quad runners, power washers, and other related machinery.Customer Service: Communicate with customers regarding the status of repairs, estimates, and recommendations for maintenance or parts replacement.Safety Compliance: Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and shop protocols.Keep Work Area Organized: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including proper storage and disposal of parts, tools, and fluids.Qualifications:Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience working with small engines, preferably in a repair or maintenance role. Specific experience with air compressors, boat motors, chainsaws, and lawn equipment is highly desirable.Knowledge: Strong understanding of small engine mechanics, including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair.
