DescriptionSUMMARYAs an SME, you will play a crucial role in providing expert guidance, technical support, and strategic insights to optimize flow assurance processes across our operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operations personnel, production chemists, and Technical Services to ensure the uninterrupted flow of hydrocarbons while mitigating risks related to flow assurance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide expert advice and technical support to ensure effective flow assurance strategies throughout the oil and gas operations.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing flow assurance programs, identifying areas for improvement, and recommending appropriate enhancements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive flow assurance plans, including selection and optimization of flow assurance methodologies, equipment, and chemical treatments.
  • Perform detailed analysis of fluid behavior, pipeline hydraulics, thermal considerations, and production conditions to identify flow assurance challenges and develop solutions.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to flow assurance in oil and gas operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and optimize flow assurance systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of flow assurance operations to identify potential issues, ensure compliance, and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to operational staff on flow assurance best practices, equipment operation, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with vendors and service providers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products, chemicals, and technical support.
  • Participate in the design and review of engineering projects, providing expert input to ensure flow assurance requirements are met, and suitable equipment and materials are selected.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during incidents and emergencies, providing guidance and support in managing flow assurance-related challenges and minimizing production downtime.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as chemical engineering, petroleum engineering, or a related discipline. Advanced certifications or degrees would be advantageous.
  • Extensive industry experience and expertise in flow assurance within the oil and gas industry, with a focus on practical applications and operational considerations.
  • In-depth knowledge of fluid behavior, multiphase flow, pipeline hydraulics, wax deposition, hydrate management, and corrosion control as they relate to flow assurance.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices, such as API, NACE, ASTM, and regulatory requirements for flow assurance and pipeline integrity.
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations, identify flow assurance challenges, and develop effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey technical concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and optimizing flow assurance programs in oil and gas operations, achieving measurable results in terms of production efficiency, integrity, and cost savings.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Professional certifications, such as Certified Flow Assurance Professional (CFAP) or Certified Pipeline Professional (CPP), would be desirable.
