Weekly Pay Range - $2081 To $2312 Job Title: Level 1 RN - Psych ER Job Specialty: Psych RN Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 3x12.0 hour shifts, Weekend Blocked Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License (NY License ONLY) Certifications: BLS Certification (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: - Med Surg experience- Telemetry experience Job Description: - Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.- Plan and provide nursing care for patients.- Make nursing diagnosis of the medical and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.- Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff to design appropriate treatment plans for clients.- Administer and note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications.- Arrange further medical attention when necessary.- Assist clients in understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting the need for treatment.- Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and patients.- Test for vital signs of pain and ensure treatments of pain.- Document all patient information on medical charts and follow physician's written orders.- Maintain patient confidentiality.- Keep accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.- Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer system.- Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and members of the public by personally responding to requests for service or making appropriate referrals.
