DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provides exceptional, STAR Service to ensure overall guest satisfaction.
- Performs the steps of STAR Service, which include:
o Smile and Greet o Take Care of Needs o Anticipate, Ask and Act o Remember to Thank and Close
- Performs the position-specific STAR service expectations, as outlined by the department.
To provide a positive attitude while preparing food orders and to maintain a sanitary and clean work environment • Prepares food for restaurant based on current recipes • Ensures appearance and taste of food served our guests • Ensures adequate levels of product are available to enhance the efficiency of the kitchen. • Fills out waste Spoilage reports • Ensures proper portion control on all items served • Takes the temp of all product going out • Orders done in a timely manner • Organizing area for daily operations To maintain sanitation regulations to ensure a safe environment for our guests • Make sure sanitation standards are met • Clean floors, coolers, seals, etc. • Records time and temperatures in log • Labels product put into storage. • Maintains product supplies using the First In First Out Standard • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment Listen and respond to guests concerns to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction • Refers guest to the appropriate department or function for issue resolution • Performs any other duties as assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED; or a minimum of six months cooking experience. On going and/or continuing education maybe required. Certificates, Licenses & Designations ServSafe certificate or ability to obtain certificate within six months. Gaming licenses required KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES • Knowledge of cooking • Skills in operating all kitchen equipment, example stove, broiler, steamers etc. • Ability to follow and read recipes • Ability to keep food prep areas and equipment safe and sanitary • Ability to monitor portion control and provide waste sheets • Ability to follow procedures and give attention detail • Ability to work cooperatively within a group to make the group successful and effective • Ability to lift/move up to 75 pounds (such as cases of product to and from storage). WORKING CONDITIONS • Frequent to moderate to loud noise level, frequent warm to cool temperatures, occasional high and low stress levels, occasional exposure to blood borne pathogens, alcohol awareness, safe food handling, etc.
