Job DetailsSUMMARY:As our SMT Lead you will manage the Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) processes. As the SMT Lead, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations in the SMT room, guide a team of technicians, and ensure our processes run smoothly, efficiently, and safely. MUST HAVES:

- Team size is 3 and company size is 100+.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the SMT room, ensuring all machines and processes are running efficiently.
- Oversee machine setup, operation, and maintenance, including pick-and-place, solder paste printing, and reflow soldering equipment.
- Ensure that production deadlines are met without compromising on quality.
- Lead, train, and support a team of SMT operators and technicians.
- Organize daily workflows, assign tasks, and ensure the team meets production goals.
- Perform quality checks on PCBs to ensure compliance with medical device industry standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot any quality issues, figure out the root causes, and implement solutions to keep things on track.
- Identify areas for improvement in both efficiency and quality and work with your team to make those changes.
- Track production performance, keeping an eye on machine yields and downtime.
- Work with the Engineering team on continuous improvement efforts to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Ensure SMT equipment is regularly maintained and calibrated.
- Keep track of inventory and order parts as needed to keep production moving smoothly.
- Keep detailed records of machine settings, assembly processes, and quality control.
- Report daily on production progress and any issues that are found.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong understanding of SMT processes, including soldering, placement, and reflow soldering.
- Experience with SMT machines and troubleshooting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in electronics or SMT is a plus.
- At least 5 years in an SMT production environment, with 2 or more years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated fields is a plus.
