JOB TITLE: Quality Control Inspector DEPARTMENT: Quality REPORTING TO: Quality Manager PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION: Ensure all procedures, instructions and forms are clearly defined, communicated and effective. Generate quality performance data for internal operations/products and outgoing quality levels. Coordinate and report on corrective/preventive action activities and identify permanent root cause resolution. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
- Study and interpret instructions.
- Listen to directions from supervisors.
- Read and interpret blueprints and sketches.
- Interpret measurements.
- Ability to use variety of inspection tools.
- Verify specifications.
- Ensure working environment is a clean and safe.
- Complete quality control forms.
- Conveyance of information pertaining to observe quality trends and issues.
- Ability to inspect parts for cosmetic issues.
- Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.
- Complete quality control forms.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Two years of related experience and/or training.
- Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Must possess good attention to detail.
- Ability to use typical equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dials indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers and the like.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Excel, Word and Office Suite products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work Plant to another.
- The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and education verification as outlined by Libra.
- The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
- Frequently required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
