Overview: Operators are responsible for SMT touchup/ inspection, and hand assembly of printed circuit boards. This position may also involve mechanical and electrical operations. Requires use of a range of hand and power tools, electrical or mechanical fixtures, gauges, and standard measuring devices. Responsibilities & Duties
- Will be responsible for rework or repair of electronic components on PCB assemblies
- Will be responsible for substrate level PCB repairs in accordance with IPC-7721.
- Inspection of SMT components on certain assemblies that are not suited for AOI inspection processes.
- Knowledgeable of manufacturing instructions
- May monitor scrap rates and identify potential component waste and report to technician
Requirements
- Must have prior hand soldering experience.
- Must have experience with SMT soldering processes and components
- Must be reliable and punctual. Must come to work every day.
- Good attention to detail, accuracy working with data, and overall desire to do a good job.
- Desire to learn and ability to learn quickly.
- Current or former IPC-610 certification a plus
- Current or former J-STD-001 certification a plus
- Current or former IPC-7711/7721 certification a plus.
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident Alien
