Girls Soccer CoachDepartment: AthleticsReports To: Athletic DirectorMISSION: Liberty Christian Academy exists to support parents and guardians in their biblical responsibility to nurture and train their children. Thus, LCA provides opportunities which allow students to realize their God-given potential and to live lives that glorify God in the spiritual, academic, social, physical and vocational realms.POSITION SUMMARY:Plan, organize and conduct practice sessions. Provide training, direction, encouragement and motivation in order to prepare athletes for games. Run the middle school and junior varsity programs. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• Hold at minimum a bachelor's degree.
• Possess proven experience teaching/coaching at a high-level secondary school or college.
• Be of outstanding Christian character and witness.
• Have a sound Christian philosophy of education and athletic competition.
• Creative and energetic.
• Strong moral values and discipline.
• Must be certified or can be certified through the VHSL's coaching education plan.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain compliance of all VHSL rules, regulations, and policies that pertain to athletic programs.
• Promotes a favorable testimony of the school district.
• Works with the athletic director to evaluate program needs.
• Promotes the proper use and care of school property.
• Communicate effectively with the team, staff, parents, administration, community and the media.
• Handle financial items for the athletic program, including the inventory and purchase of equipment.
• Complete all necessary forms, including VHSL required master eligibility forms.

SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP:

• Act as the spiritual leader of school and community.
• Show evidence of a consistent time of personal Bible study, prayer and outreach.
• Maintain a Christ-like attitude.

SPECIFIC TO JV:

• Provide supervision and leadership for the team. Identify players for future varsity team.

SPECIFIC TO MIDDLE SCHOOL:

• Provide supervision and leadership for the team. Focus on the development of the players.
