Social media is an important function within the Global Brand Experience team driving engagement with our thought leadership, product, services and firmwide initiatives across social platforms. Neuberger Berman (NB) is evolving the brand's role in support of client coverage and driving both organic and paid efforts to drive ROI. We are seeking a creative, proactive problem-solver to join the Brand Experience team and take social media at NB to the next level.
Summary:
The Director of social media will define and own the overall social media strategy for the firm and will be responsible for executing across paid and organic initiatives. Supervising and approving engaging and relevant content will also be part of their responsibilities. Furthermore, the Director will monitor and analyze metrics and feedback from campaigns to optimize the strategy. The Director of social media will lead and/or guide a team of creative, strategic, and community-focused marketers globally, who are regularly interpreting brand needs, and finding creative ways to activate on social. This team keeps a close eye on pop culture, trends, and innovation. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, communication and influencing skills, with the ability to be flexible and nimble, regularly pivoting in new directions based on the brand's evolving needs and the current cultural context.
The role reports to the Head of Brand Experience and is based in New York.
What You'll Do
STRATEGY & LEADERSHIP: Build and evolve our Social Media strategy across all existing social channels, while keeping an eye on new, emerging platforms and social media
• Develop strategies to acquire a new customer demographic while keeping our current audience engaged; grow follower count and increase engagement rate.
• Lead strategic planning of paid and organic social for consideration and awareness audiences across all brand and product campaigns, considering platform, story type and customer journey.
• Build relationships with our franchise business partners and align on social media plans for a more impactful global launch.
• Own relationship with social agency partners, implementing and evolving our social playbook.
• Build strategy and maintenance plan for launching corporate-level NB YouTube and Instagram channels with specific support for NB Private Wealth.
• Function as the primary relationship owner for our global social platforms including LinkedIn and Twitter (X), and liaise with regional owners for Facebook, Line, YouTube, and WeChat.
• Facilitate the execution of organic and paid social media campaigns, and paid search terms.
• Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
CONTENT: Partner with creative team to ensure content is on brand (look & feel and tone of voice), platform-appropriate and brand-building.
• Influence campaigns and initiatives (including new product launches) to ensure social media first content (organic, paid awareness, consideration) is conceptualized at the beginning of each quarter.
• Partner with content, internal creative, and digital design to establish best practices, provide input into content optimization (format, data visualization, creative, etc.), and produce social media specific content.
• Partner with channel marketing teams on the social strategy for specific product and content campaigns
• Collaborate with Head of Content to deliver a quarterly content plan/ calendar.
NB INFLUENCERS: Drive influencer strategy and oversee influencer social programming including partnering with public relations.
• Partner closely with Channel Marketing to identify any influencers within NB and design campaigns.
REPORTING: Establish, track, and report on KPIs across paid & organic tactics per social platform and per campaign. Provide actionable insights and next steps.
• Perform tests, competitive analysis, and social listening to identify trends and consumer need NBs
• Lead Media Monitoring efforts, using Sprinkler, to show macro impact of social and brand marketing initiatives with earned media efforts
• Set social marketing goals and monitor analytics to measure progress and optimize social strategy.
PROCESS: Define and implement an internal and external process to work efficiently and achieve the best output. Work in collaboration with compliance, legal, and client coverage to build out social policies and onboard the optimal platform for client coverage constituents. Build out training materials and run programming for teams across the globe.
· Establish and provide oversight for global social calendars via Sprinklr.
· Promote and provide training for employee social media advocacy.
Qualifications
· 8+ years of experience successfully executing social media campaigns, with specific experience on LinkedIn and Twitter (X), Instagram, YouTube, and B2B; 6+ years' experience in Digital Marketing
· Strong visual eye and copy skills to partner with creative and editorial to NB brand to life in ways that create community, provide value and/or investor entertainment.
· Proven ability to analyze insights and report on social media performance and trends.
· Strong analytical skills and ability to generate reports and present to a wide range of audiences.
· Experience and/or knowledge using Sprinkler, Seismic, Hearsay and other financial services content management systems and social monitoring, i.e. Talkwalker and advocacy platforms.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Capable of interfacing with and influencing a variety of stakeholders
· Asset Management / Financial Services experience preferred but not required.
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $150,000-$170,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
