Job Description :
Provides individual, family and group therapy services. Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Conducts initial evaluations, and formulates treatment plans. Provides community education services as needed. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; also demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed. The LCSW needs the knowledge and skills to appropriately communicate and interact with the patients, families, and visitors of all age groups while being sensitive to their cultural and religious beliefs. Performance Expectations: Demonstrate the ability to provide services including individual, group, and family therapy based on a theoretical and ethical frame work, (i.e. Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy) to patients across multiple developmental stages and within an outpatient or acute care setting. Demonstrate the ability to complete a clinical interview and review information with patients and family members. Demonstrates the ability to understand the goals and policy of the EAP department. Demonstrate the ability to collaborate clinically with staff within various roles. Demonstrate the willingness and ability to actively participate in helping achieve the objectives of the department; able to work independently as well as with a team. Demonstrated the ability to complete all required trainings and/or certifications and attend all required meetings. Demonstrate the ability to be flexible with changing priorities; able to tolerate high stress situations / mental demands and make decisions that are ethically and legally sound. Qualifications: Education/Skills Master degree in social work from an accredited school is required. Work Experience: Two years of experience required. Certification/Licensure-DUE UPON HIRE Current license to practice with the MS State (LCSW). Mental Demands: Must have a high energy level and be capable of handling high pressure situations. Must have ability to perform repetitive tasks, cooperate with others, take orders, follow directions and demonstrate leadership and initiative in providing services
