Job Overview: As a Cloud Technical Architect at Dayton Freight Lines, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing our cloud infrastructure to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, providing technical expertise and leadership to drive the adoption of cloud technologies and best practices.

- Design, plan, and implement cloud solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
- Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure using industry best practices to ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment of applications in the cloud environment.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, assisting in their skill development and growth.
- Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and make recommendations for their adoption based on business needs.
- Identify opportunities for automation, optimization, and cost savings within the cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Document architectural designs, guidelines, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Architect, Solutions Architect, or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- In-depth knowledge of containerized .NET Core applications (preferred).
- In-depth knowledge of message brokers such as Apache Kafka.
- Hands-on experience with cloud services like Kubernetes, containerization, serverless computing, and databases.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for automation and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus.
