Software Design Engineer in Test 2Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Software Design Engineer in Test for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Position Summary: The main function of a Software Design Engineer is to develop, implement, and document all testing activities, including test planning, test documentation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting, including follow-up and issue resolution.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Execute test plans, scenarios, scripts or proceduresTest system modifications to prepare for implementationDevelop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usabilityDocument software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developersIdentify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or contentMonitor bug resolution efforts and track successesCreate or maintain databases of known test defectsPlan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery datesQualifications:Years of Experience Required: 3-5 overall years of experience in the field.Degrees or certifications required: noneBest vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain familiarity with MS tools (azure devops, HLK), knowledge Wi-Fi at the application or network level, and familiarity with RF debugging tools: for example wireless sniffers (e.g. Wireshark, Wildpackets Omnipeek), and experience with Kernel Debugging and/or trace analysis for network analysis, (network monitor / Message Analyzer, xPerf, .etl, ETW, ...).Performance Indicators: Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines .Minimum 1+years experience with testing or development of WFI platforms.Minimum 1+years experience with Bluetooth protocols.Minimum 1+years experience with quality process (writing good bug reports, analyzing issues, and validating solutions).If this job is a match for your background, we would be honored to receive your application!Providing consulting opportunities to TALENTed people since 1987, we offer a host of opportunities including contract, contract to hire and permanent placement.
