Job Description :
Position Summary: The Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting software solutions to enhance operational efficiency and provide value to the organization. This role includes maintaining and modifying existing systems, developing new applications, and providing IT support as needed. The ideal candidate will work closely with plant and corporate management to implement systems that streamline operations and ensure minimal disruption to ongoing activities. Essential Functions:
  • Software Development and Troubleshooting:
    • Develop, test, debug, and maintain applications using C#, the .NET framework, and related technologies.
    • Analyze existing systems to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
    • Create and maintain detailed programming logic, flow charts, and documentation for development and modifications.
  • IT Support and Collaboration:
    • Assist with IT support tickets, collaborating with system administrators to resolve issues.
    • Understand and troubleshoot general IT systems, ensuring effective integration of software and infrastructure.
  • Stakeholder Communication and Documentation:
    • Collaborate with users to understand system requirements and gain clarity on modifications or new features.
    • Provide status updates and clear communication to requestors on project timelines and issue resolutions.
    • Maintain confidentiality regarding all data processed, stored, or accessed.
  • Process and Performance Improvement:
    • Document and map processes to identify inefficiencies or errors, proposing modifications or new solutions as needed.
    • Evaluate interdependencies between programs to ensure changes do not adversely impact related systems.
    • Enhance application performance through proactive problem-solving and collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Adhere to all corporate, departmental, and SOX IT policies.
    • Document changes and resolutions to ensure proper change control and future reference.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
  • Proficiency in C#, the .NET framework, and T-SQL.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server (TFS).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with attention to deadlines and quality.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and accountability for assigned projects.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and a history of being dependable
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with technology and maintains knowledge; learns new technology quickly.
  • Proven experience of taking initiative and having a strong sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with Power BI and SSRS reporting tools.
  • Should understand basic concept and methods of troubleshooting code, software version control, and software testing.
  • Strong organizational skills and self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills; the ability to interact well with production personnel and coworkers.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills.
Experience & Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field. MS degree is desirable.
  • Two or more years of relevant software development experience
  • Familiarity with object-oriented programming methodologies and tools like Visual Studio.Experience with T-SQL and working knowledge of the Microsoft development stack.
  • Experience with developing Windows Forms applications using C#, VB6, or the .NET framework.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI and SSRS reporting is a plus
