We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to design and develop Ground Control Station software for our Unmanned Aircraft System that are in continuous development, operating in multiple countries throughout the world performing diverse, critical missions for our clients. As a member of the Software Engineering department you will:

- Support and develop aircraft and ground software for Insitu's products
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required - Experience building commercial or defense software using multiple programming languages including Python, C# and C++
- Experience developing client facing Windows applications using Windows UI presentational technologies
- Experience with architecture patterns such as MVC/MVVM, WPF and other .NET technologies desired
- Experience with embedded C++ applications on Linux
- Strong problem-solving abilities, careful attention to detail, open to taking direction and adapting to course corrections
- Excellent modeling, software, and debugging skills
- Ideal candidate has experience working alongside hardware engineers
- Ideal candidate has experience working on safety critical systems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to independently identify and address tasks
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
Education & Experience Required - Bachelor's degree of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics.
- 5-8 years in an engineering classification with a Bachelor's degree or 3-6 years' experience in an engineering classification with a Master's degree
- Must be able to work in Hood River, OR on a Hybrid basis (2-3 days a week onsite).
