Software Engineer (AFS/S4 SAP) - BrickRed Systems : Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer - SAP to join our team. This highly technical and strategic role focuses on managing, enhancing, and optimizing SAP systems, enterprise applications, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic vision to drive innovation and efficiency within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop, debug, and configure applications to address complex and high-risk requirements.
• Design job schedules and execute code deployments across various environments.
• Install and update software systems, ensuring critical system functionality and performance monitoring.
• Approve design and code reviews to align with corporate and business standards.
• Review and approve test plans, execute tests, and validate outcomes.
• Work with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration and technical alignment.
• Contribute to database and advanced technical designs while leading proof-of-concept efforts.
• Create and maintain detailed technical and design documentation.
• Provide application support, resolve technical issues, and identify risk mitigation strategies.
• Conduct technical analysis to recommend solutions that enhance system capabilities.
• Design performance testing scenarios and scripts to identify areas of improvement.
• Implement performance remediation strategies to optimize system efficiency.
• Define and communicate technical environment requirements for various projects.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with technical standards and governance.
• Provide input on engineering task budgets and assist Project Managers in financial planning.

Qualifications

• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 10 years of directly relevant work experience, preferably as a business/process leader or industry expert.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in SAP systems (legacy AFS and new S4).
• Expertise in at least one or more technologies: Java, .NET, PeopleSoft, See Beyond.
• Strong performance monitoring and optimization capabilities.
