Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) has an opportunity in Owego, NY for a Spring (January-July) 2025 Software Engineering intern supporting the eTech Mission Systems organization. In this role, you will work closely with a team of engineers to develop embedded diagnostic software such as device drivers, Built-In-Test libraries, and special test equipment software for our Mission Processing Product Line. As a member of our Software Engineering team you will collaborate with a diverse, muliti-disciplinary team of technical professionals. The successful candidate will be flexible, motivated, dedicated, detail-focused, team-oriented, and capable of multi-tasking. Basic Qualifications: - Pursuing a BS Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent STEM computing field - Academic or professional experience using C, C++, C#, Java, Python, or similar programming languages - Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Desired Skills: - Basic understanding of software development methodologies (especially Agile) and software configuration management - Basic understanding of full software life-cycle development - Experience with Git/GitLab, Visual Studio, or Atlassian products - Experience developing software for the purpose of testing and verifying products against requirements, especially automated test software or special test equipment (STE) Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $20,904 - $61,672. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
