- Lead the development of high performance web solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to identify and address performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
- Develop tools and frameworks for performance testing, monitoring, and analysis.
- Support engineers, encouraging a culture of learning and improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in web performance and incorporate them into our platform.
- Contribute to the architectural decisions and technical direction of the web performance platform.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to web performance.
Who We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on web performance and optimization.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and Typescript.
- In-depth knowledge of web technologies, including HTML, CSS, DOM and modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Experience with performance profiling, monitoring, and optimization tools (e.g., Lighthouse, WebPageTest).
- Experience with browser internals, HTTP protocols, and performance optimization techniques.
- Experience with observability and RUM (Real User Monitoring) platforms for web optimization, along with familiarity with SRE tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform) or any other cloud platform is desirable but not required.
- Experience with technologies such as NodeJS, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (e.g., Puppeteer), BigQuery, and monitoring tools like Grafana.
