Franklin Templeton Institutional LLC seeks a Software Engineer, in New York, NY.What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Software Engineer? The Software Engineer will work in UI development within Python and React Javascript, ensuring seamless integration and delivering intuitive user interfaces to enhance user experience and productivity in custom applications. What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful? Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent. Must include two (2) years of prior experience with the following responsibilities, skills and/or tools:
- Building data pipelines to ingest market data from Bloomberg and FactSet into inhouse data warehouse.
- Developing and architecting quantitative financial software using Object Oriented design principles in Java, Python and C#.
- Designing and developing independent models and tools using Python and Matlab to optimize trading strategies.
- Identifying and tracking metrics for trading systems using SQL, C#, C++, and Java and utilizing Bloomberg, DataStream, and Charles River APIs.
- Maintaining data tables and schemas utilizing SQL.
- Designing financial trading platforms with OOPs, Python, C#, and PostgreSQL. And
- Designing and developing metrics for data quality measures in trading systems.

We expect the salary for this position to range between $123,656 - $191,200 USD / year.
